Botanical seminar: Between meadows and floodplains: the flora of the Soutok Protected Landscape Area through the ages

The Soutok Protected Landscape Area harbours a high diversity of flora and vegetation. Its wetlands consist of pools, oxbows, and alluvial deposits that host many rare plant species, which are reliant on specific local conditions. Floodplain forests are the prevailing habitat of Soutok, yet they are threatened by insufficient flooding and by fungal pathogens. Their understorey features a rich spring aspect.
