The aim of the memorandum is the shared commitment of both institutions to develop long-term, systematic, and synergistic cooperation in the areas of education, cutting-edge research, students’ professional development, and the popularization of natural sciences.
“In my role as dean, I have systematically sought to develop cooperation with the applied sector, as it is crucial for prospective applicants and at the same time helps our students acquire the competencies and skills needed for professional practice,” said Dean Tomáš Kašparovský.
The cooperation will focus primarily on strengthening links between the academic and corporate environments, supporting the attractiveness of natural science and technology disciplines, developing joint research and development activities (e.g. in the fields of advanced microscopy and materials science), and creating opportunities for students and graduates of the faculty to gain practical experience.
The memorandum envisages the implementation of specific activities such as expert lectures and workshops, internships and excursions, cooperation on theses and projects, career counseling, and joint outreach and science popularization events for the public. Emphasis is also placed on open dialogue between the academic and corporate sectors and on joint communication of the partnership.
