During the introductory lectures, the Faculty of Science was presented by Dean Tomáš Kašparovský and Vice-Dean for Development, Research and Quality, Jaromír Leichmann. Students considering applying for one of the teacher training programmes were addressed by Vice-Dean for Cooperation with Secondary Schools, Markéta Munzarová; Vice-Dean for Teacher Training Programmes, Zdeněk Bochníček; and subject didactics lecturer, Jaromír Literák. The teacher training students' presentations and experiences also attracted interest, and after their presentations, they discussed and answered curious questions from the high school students. The teacher training stand was located on campus on both days.
The departments and their academic supervisors provided interested parties with information about their study programmes, and tours of their laboratories took place at both campuses. Students answered questions, giving applicants the opportunity to form their own ideas about what to expect during their studies. Applicants also got to know the faculty premises and discussed topics of interest with faculty members.
New this year was the participation of study advisors, who provided applicants with practical information about the admissions process at the department's stand.
Thanks to everyone who participated
A big thank you goes to all academics, students and study advisors who participated in organising the Open House and helped give future applicants a taste of the atmosphere at MU's Faculty of Science.
