The ceremonial presentation of MU bronze medals and awards from Masaryk University's Faculty of Science to cooperating organisations and outstanding teachers and graduates
On 15 December, a total of 16 awards were presented at the Museum of Applied Arts in Brno by the dean of our faculty, Tomáš Kašparovský, the rector of Masaryk University, Martin Bareš, and the future dean, Luděk Bláha. Congratulations to all the winners!
The MU Bronze Medal is awarded to Masaryk University employees who have achieved exceptional results and contributed to the development of higher education and the university. Masaryk University’s management decided to award the Bronze Medal to Associate Professor Marie Kummerová in recognition of her outstanding long-term work.
For the third consecutive year, the Faculty of Science management have awarded prizes to key collaborating organisations, teachers and graduates.
The following organisations received the Faculty of Science Award in the category of ‘important collaborating organisations’:
The Faculty of Science also awards prizes in the category ‘outstanding teacher’.
Successful graduates also received awards.
Finally, the honorary title of ‘Faculty Secondary School’ was awarded.
At our Garden Party in September, we awarded the honorary title of ‘Faculty Secondary School’ to thirteen schools with which we have enjoyed a long-standing partnership. This title is our way of showing our gratitude for their support and for their joint efforts in making natural sciences more accessible to students.
