Who the awards recognize
The Neuron Awards are intended for scientists with a significant international impact and for talented young researchers whose work promises great benefits for the future.
Successful cases of transferring science into practice and business can also be nominated.
Who can nominate
Nominations can be submitted by:
- scientists, researchers, and academics
- research organizations
- commercial entities or investors
Nominated candidates will be evaluated by the Neuron Foundation's Scientific Council, whose members select the winners in each category each year.
Open nominations and deadline
The nomination process is open until April 25, 2026. Interested parties can find information about the conditions and online nomination forms for each category on the Neuron Foundation website.
Neuron Award 2026 categories
Scientists can be nominated in the following three main categories:
- NeuronAward – for prominent scientists with a global reach, accompanied by a financial bonus of CZK 1,500,000.
- NeuronAward for Excellent Young Scientists – an award for talented young scientists in seven fields, with a prize of CZK 500,000.
- NeuronAward for Connecting Science and Business – for exceptional cases of successful practical application of scientific results.
How to nominate
For each category, there is a separate nomination form on the Neuron Foundation website, which nominators can fill out directly online.
