What Was the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University Ball 2026 Like?

A festive evening full of music, dancing and socialising brought together students, staff and friends of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University. This year’s ball offered a varied programme, live performances and the traditional raffle, once again confirming its place among the most popular social events of the academic year.

Guests began arriving in the early evening, and the atmosphere of the festively decorated hall quickly filled with anticipation. The evening was hosted by Matyáš Kočí and Jakub Holler – notably, both are Masaryk University students. Following their opening remarks, the ball was officially opened and all guests were warmly welcomed.

The first highlight of the evening was the opening dance performance by the Starlet Brno dance school, which received well-deserved applause and symbolically opened the dance floor to all attendees. Most of the performers were once again students from our faculty. The evening then continued with several dance sets performed by The Cover Band, whose diverse repertoire kept the dance floor lively until midnight.

The programme was further enriched by a dance lesson, a dance competition and the popular raffle draw, in which many guests enthusiastically took part. The highlight of the evening was the midnight surprise performance by Cirkus LeGrando, which delivered a visually captivating show.

After midnight, DJ Pavel Jedla took over the music production, and the dancing continued until the early hours of the morning. The ball once again proved to be not only a representative social event of the faculty, but above all an opportunity for informal meetings across disciplines and year groups.

We would like to thank all performers and guests whose participation and energy contributed to the exceptional atmosphere of this year’s event. We look forward to meeting again on the dance floor next year!
