GA CR - Tenders for the Year 2027
The GA CR has announced calls for proposals 2027 for tenders in the area of Standard Projects, International Projects, Lead Agency projects, POSTDOC INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP - INCOMING, POSTDOC INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP – OUTGOING and Restart grants.

SEMINARS:
- Internal MU seminar for researchers (in English) will be held on 27 February 2026, registration here.
- Seminars with the President of GA CR (mostly in Czech) will be held in Prague 26 February 2026 and in Brno 4 March 2026, registration here.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
- Deadline: 31 March 2026
- Deadline for submission of the application to the MU Research Ethics Committee: 3 March 2026 till 17:00. More information here. Which projects require an ethics review can be found here.
- PERSONNEL COSTS – until 10 March 2026 send a list of the people in the project team that you plan to include in the project proposal to the Personnel Officer (contacts by department below). Through the secretary of the institute, you will be provided the salary range that you can plan for each employee.
- GRIS - insertion of Part B (breakdown + justification of financial items): 16 March 2026
- Knowledge security – if the project concerns a risky field or you will be cooperating with an institution from selected risky countries, you must fill in the Security tab in ISEP no later than 14 days before the competition deadline and submit it to the MU security manager for review.
- Deadline for initiation of electronic approval of the Project proposal records in ISEP by the investigator: 25 March 2026
- Submission of the filled affidavit of co-funding (if required) by email to the project manager, (it will be approved electronically): 25 March 2026
- Deadline for sending the GRIS-generated final PDF of the application to gacr@sci.muni.cz for submission via data message: 30 March 2026 till 9:00.
(All of the above also applies if the Faculty of Science MU participates as a co-applicant.The proposed budget for the Faculty of Science must be reviewed even if you are involved as a co-applicant or as a team member in a project submitted by another MU faculty. In all such cases, an approved Faculty of Science cover sheet is required before the proposal can be submitted in ISEP.)
CHANGE IN THE LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF PROPOSALS:
For projects starting in 2027, the rules for the number of proposals submitted are changing. One person may submit a maximum of one proposal as a principal investigator or co-principal investigator in each of the following categories in all competitions announced in a given calendar year starting in 2027 and in all calls starting in 2027:
- Standard projects, International projects and LA grants
- JUNIOR STAR and EXPRO
- PIF and Restart Grants
One person may be either the principal investigator or co-investigator of only one project starting in 2027. More information here.
